Summary

Responsible for the design, development and testing of components for the next generation of semiconductor equipment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

§  Performs experiments using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Plasma etch technologies

 

§  Develops advanced coatings using plasma processing technologies

 

§  Writes specifications, procedures, test plans and other documentation necessary for component manufacturing and product verification

 

§  Develops specifications for new process chamber design

 

§  Directs technicians in the execution of designed experiments

 

§  Participates in the transition of a product from concept to pilot line production

 

§  Communicates directly with customers, suppliers and operations personnel to clarify design specification, obtain technical information and develop manufacturable products

 

§  Trouble-shoots and corrects product performance issues

 

§  Prepares presentation materials and other relevant product specifications for reporting status and internal company use

Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

                                   

                              Education and/or Experience

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry or similar discipline required; Master’s Degree preferred

 

                                    Computer Skills

o    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in MS Office

 

                              Other Skills and Abilities

o    Must have knowledge of thin film physics, metrology, data acquisition and control systems

o    Knowledge of data acquisition and control systems required

o    Experience with plasma processing equipment required

o    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent analytical skills

o    Relevant process and/or project management experience preferred
