Tara Technologies Re-Launches Into the Aerospace and Energy Markets

Tara Technologies Corporation announced today that it has officially re-launched the Belfab brand of precision components in the aero and energy markets. Belfab was the first bellows company in North America and has over 50 years of experience in the design of precision components required for demanding environments in aerospace and energy. Typical Belfab product applications include hydraulic accumulators, volume compensators, reservoirs, rotary seals, fuel drains, sensors and valves; found in critical aerospace platforms such as the Space Shuttle, Joint Strike Fighter and the Boeing 777 as well as, deep sea and oil sands down-hole drilling applications in the energy markets.
The Belfab brand and capabilities were formerly known as PerkinElmer Fluid Sciences and were purchased by New York based Tara Capital Inc in February 2006. As part of the transaction, Belfab committed capacity to support a significant customer during product transition. That commitment is approaching completion, enabling customers to keep their product with the same design, manufacturing, and refurbishment services and personnel that have been building their products under the same Belfab CAGE code for over 50 years. Understanding the importance of a low-cost region supply base, coupled with a global presence, Tara has added significant capacity in Daytona Beach and in a state-of-the-art facility in Singapore. The Singapore facility is equipped for automated welding, assembly, clean room, aqueous cleaning, CMM and inspection capability, metallurgical laboratory and product testing. “The expansion of our Asian operations in Singapore reflects the position of Singapore as the location offering the most advanced capabilities, quality and value for servicing our customers”, explains Colm Lanigan, CEO of Tara Technologies.
